Help us to
" Catch some more smiles "

The Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing Charity is expanding its activities into special needs schools in the Caernarfon, Anglesey and Mid Wales areas of the Province and need more Casters and Helpers to help with our work.
Why not join in and become a Caster or Helper, you will derive a great deal of pleasure from the experience. It will be your role to involve the children in the sport of fly fishing and show them as much about the sport as you can, by casting out for them, showing them how to cast, retrieve, hook and land the fish. They are always interested in our flies and fishing tackle and whilst fishing you will have a chance to chat to the children and the adult Helper who will be assisting you during the day.
Tan-y-Mynydd trout fishery also have two " any method " pools and help is needed from coarse anglers, to fish these two pools, so you don't have to be able to cast a fly to join in the days activities.
The Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing Charity is a Masonic Initiative and is therefore funded by voluntary donations from Freemasons, Masonic Lodges and Provinces, Trust Funds or events organised by freemasons. There is absolutely no charge to you, any of the participants or their Schools or Centres taking part.

All our events are held at the Tan-y-Mynydd Trout Fishery, Abergele on a Tuesday - the dates are still to be arranged for 2010. I hope the above explains some of work and will encourage you to join the Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing Charity and help us all to ''Catch the Smile'' by giving these children an enjoyable day in the countryside. Some of the pictures on the Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing Charity's website are testament in themselves to the enjoyment that the children get from these interactive days. The excitement is terrific and most are experiencing for the first time the joy of fishing which most of us take for granted.
All of our casters and helpers gain hugely from their experiences that they receive from these days and we all become much more aware of the great amount of work that goes on in these specialist schools and centres that we are in contact with.
Please make the effort to join in with
us by contacting our Secretary (Hint) who will be pleased to send you the necessary forms and leaflets:
