The
Masonic Tie
I believe that the Masonic tie puzzles many Brethren. Which tie should be worn is frequently the question. The answer lies with each individual Brother. Grand Lodge has stated that there are two ties, the Craft tie and the Black tie. That means very clearly that any Brother can wear either of the ties.
My personal tendency is to wear the new Craft tie
unless I see from the Lodge Summons that the custom in a Lodge is black
tie. I also wear the black tie during the month of November for very
obvious historical reasons. I trust that this will satisfy the concerns
expressed.
Pa Dei Masonaidd Ddylid Ei Wisgo?
Credaf fod peth dryswch ym meddyliau rhai o'r Brodyr ynglyn a pha dei ddylid ei wisgo yn ein Cyfarfodydd. Yr ateb yw fod rhyddid i'r unigolyn wneud penderfyniad yn ôl ei ddymuniad ei hun. Mae'r Brif Gyfrinfa yn Llundain wedi gwneud datganiad fod dau dei ar gael sef yr un du hanesyddol ac un newydd y Crefftwyr.
Ymddengys yn glir felly y caiff y Brodyr wisgo tei o'u dymuniad eu hunain. Fy marn a'm tuedd bersonol yw i wisgo'r tei newydd os nad yw Gwŷs y Gyfrinfa'n datgan i'r gwrthwyneb beth yw eu harferiad. Yn ystod mis Tachwedd gwisgaf y tei du traddodiadol oherwydd y Cadoediad a'r Cofio. Hyderaf fod yr eglurhad yma'n ddigonol i leddfu'r pryder ddangoswysd.
